Foursquare is a location-based social networking site that is based on GPS software from mobile devices. Users “check-in” at venues by using either a website, text message, or device application. For each time a user checks-in they receive different points or badges and can even be crowned “Mayorship” of a venue. Foursquare offers many different features to help benefit businesses with and without a physical location.
